Worship

OUR HEART IN WORSHIP IS TO, FIRST, MINISTER TO THE LORD, AND SECONDLY, MINISTER TO HIS PEOPLE.

In response to God’s great mercy and grace, we desire to offer ourselves back to Him in worship.  As we worship the Lord, His presence inhabits our praises.  In His presence we find all that we need to honor Him and live out His purposes for our lives.

One of the primary purposes of theLighthouse is to “express our love to God through worship.” Jesus tells us in John 4:23 that the Father is seeking those who will worship Him in “spirit and truth.” He dwells in the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). The Worship Ministry at theLighthouse considers it an honor to serve God and His people through the means of music and media.

As a ministry of theLighthouse, we love God, grow together, serve others and extend our reach.

Individually we love God through prayer, worship and the Word regularly in our personal quiet time.  Corporately, we love God through prayer, worship, and the Word on Sunday mornings. We value God’s presence. (John 4:23) The Bible is Everything and His Spirit takes the lead.

We grow together spiritually, relationally, and musically. We value spiritual and musical development. (Eph. 4:13-16) We Increase Our Circle, We Celebrate, We Don’t Compete and We Say The Hard Things when necessary, and We Choose To Stick Together.

We serve others by using the gifts God has given us to lead His people into His presence.  We also train others in their gifts and abilities so we can raise up a new generation of servant leaders. We value humble servitude and a generous offering of our resources. (1 Peter 4:10) We are Beautifully Authentic, Generosity is Our Norm, We Lead The Hurting to Wholeness, and We Get To Do This.

We extend our reach through our social media presence, songwriting, and releasing of worship albums. We believe in equipping and sending out worshipers into their communities and callings. We value sending and sharing Spirit-led creativity to advance His kingdom. (Mark 16:15) We take Action Over Comfort and We Love Our Community.
